Overview
Mountains of Balochistan where Pakistan carried out its first nuclear tests on 28 May 1998, about two weeks after the Indian tests at Pokhran. The devices were detonated in tunnels bored into the Ras Koh range. A further test followed two days later in the Kharan desert. The date is marked in Pakistan as Youm-e-Takbeer.
