A 1,200 MW sodium cooled fast breeder at Creys-Malville on the Rhone, the largest breeder reactor ever built. It ran at full power only briefly amid leaks, outages and legal battles, and was attacked with rocket propelled grenades by militants in 1982 while under construction. The government ordered its closure in 1997.
