Overview
A 62.5 MW sodium cooled fast reactor in Idaho that ran from 1964 to 1994, demonstrating a closed fuel cycle with on site reprocessing and passive safety tests in 1986 that shut the plant down without operator action. It was decommissioned after the breeder program ended.
