Overview
A coastal plant between Los Angeles and San Diego whose domed containments became a landmark beside the beach. In 2012 new replacement steam generators leaked after premature tube wear, and Southern California Edison closed the plant for good in 2013. Spent fuel is stored in canisters on the bluff close to the ocean.
