Overview
Four pressurized water reactors on the Scheldt beside the port of Antwerp, their cooling towers looming over the near deserted village of Doel. The older units have been closing since 2022 under the Belgian nuclear phase out, while a 2023 deal with Engie keeps Doel 4 running until 2035.
