Overview
Two RBMK-1500 reactors at Visaginas, the most powerful channel type reactors ever built and of the same family as Chernobyl. Lithuania agreed to close the plant as a condition of joining the European Union, shutting unit 1 in 2004 and unit 2 at the end of 2009. Scenes for the HBO series Chernobyl were filmed here.
